I’m Vicky and I am the owner and operator of Oh My Dog! Having grown up surrounded by furry companions both big and small, my love for animals developed very early on.

I realise how important it is to have someone you can trust to care for your little ones and give them the love and attention they deserve when you can’t. I started Oh My Dog! so that I can provide that service. If you worry about leaving your beloved companions home alone whilst you work or you’re unable to take those much needed breaks yourselves, I’m here to help you.

I offer dog walking, home visits and pet sitting across Newcastle, NSW.

I’m fully insured, experienced and police checked so you can rest assured your fur-babies are in safe hands!

Ok, but what if…

If my dog is injured or unwell on a walk, what actions will you take?2020-09-28T21:06:02+10:00

Before our first walk I will ask you for your preferred vet’s details. If your dog becomes unwell or injured whilst in my care, I will attempt to contact you immediately and take your dog to your preferred vet or the closest veterinary hospital depending on the severity of the situation. Any costs incurred are the responsibility of the dog’s owner.

Depending on what the behavioural issues are, yes. However I will not allow dogs with aggressive tendencies to join group walks, instead I offer private walks so that I can give your dog 100% of my attention.
My dog has allergies, can I provide my own treats for you to use?2020-09-28T20:55:25+10:00

Absolutely! I do give small amounts of treats during our walks to reward good behaviour. Please let me know if your dog has any allergies and if you would only like me to use a specific brand.

Does my dog need to be vaccinated?2020-09-28T20:58:03+10:00

Yes, I do ask that all dogs are properly vaccinated before commencing walks.

How will you gain access to my home to collect my pup?2020-09-28T21:02:55+10:00

During our meet & greet I ask that you provide me with a key/code for access to your home if you anticipate you will be out at the time I collect your pup. (All keys will be kept in a safe location and I do not label keys with names or addresses)

Do you walk in all weather conditions?2020-09-28T21:10:18+10:00

Yes – provided I consider it to be safe to do so. On hot days I will always keep the dogs in the shade as much as possible and ensure they have access to fresh water throughout the walk. On rainy days I will always towel dry the dogs as much as possible before returning them home. If you have any other requests for me upon returning your pup home such as turning the air conditioning on, placing a cooling mat down or even putting a few ice cubes in their water bowl- that’s absolutely no trouble at all!
